Fred Winkelmann (born May 17, 1937 in Bad Gandersheim ) is a former German football player .

In the 1960s Winkelmann played in the football league, the top division in German football at the time. His stations were in his youth the SVG GW Bad Gandersheim and later as a professional of the 1. SC Göttingen 05 as well as the VfV Hildesheim with which he played several European Cup games. He played on the two outside lanes.

Fred and Klaus Winkelmann switched to VfV Hildesheim for the transfer of approx. 50,000 DM.

Winkelmann was later a trainer at Helmstedter SV .
