Freddie Simpson (born 20th century in Louisville , Kentucky ) is an American actress .

life and career

Freddie Simpson was born as Fredda Marie Simpson in Louisville around 1960 and grew up in northern Kentucky. As a four-year-old she was already doing intensive sport. She later played semi-professional softball in Kentucky and Ohio . Freddie Simpson attended the University of Kentucky . Before starting her acting career, she worked temporarily as a model .

She made her film debut in 1989 in the feature film Thunderboat Row . In 1992 she became internationally known for her role as Ellen Sue Gotlander in the comedy A Class of Their Own alongside the leading actors Tom Hanks , Geena Davis and Madonna . She played the same role in the television miniseries of the same name from 1993. Since 2002, Freddie Simpson has not appeared as a film actress.
