Frederick Darley

Frederick Darley (born February 28, 1763 in Fernhill , County Dublin , † April 2, 1847 ) was Lord Mayor of Dublin from 1808 to 1809 .

Frederick Darley was born to Henry Darley. On March 7, 1800 he was elected councilor in Dublin. As such, he held the office of Lord Mayor of the city from 1808 to 1809. In the 1820s he was the Chief Magistrate of Police of Dublin.

Darley was married to Elizabeth Guinness, the daughter of Arthur Guinness and Olivia Whitmore. The marriage resulted in two daughters and two sons. His son John Richard Darley later became an Anglican bishop .
