Frederik Faber

Frederik Faber , also Friedrich Faber , (born April 21, 1795 in Odense , † March 9, 1828 in Horsens ) was a Danish zoologist ( ornithology , ichthyology ).

Faber studied law in Copenhagen with the exam in 1818, but was mainly interested in ornithology. He received a scholarship to study the fauna of Iceland and toured the island from 1819 to 1821. He then published on birds and fish in Iceland. Later he was an auditor and regimental quartermaster in the Schleswig cuirassier regiment.

In 1825 he married.
