Fredrik Åkerblom

Fredrik Åkerblom (born June 9, 1839 in Falun , † September 24, 1901 in Gothenburg ) was a Swedish magazine editor, author and member of the Reichstag .

Fredrik Åkerblom, son of Johan Frans Åkerblom (1806–1886) and his wife Maria Kristina Norström (1815–1874), began studying philosophy in Uppsala in 1858 and received his doctorate in 1869. From 1865 to 1869 and from 1871 to 1873 he taught at a grammar school in Gothenburg. He became a newspaper editor at the Stockholms-Posten and the Göteborgs-Posten . In 1896 he founded the Morgon Posten in Gothenburg .

From 1894 to 1896, Åkerblom was a member of the Swedish parliament.

He toured the former Swedish Pomerania and published the Pommerska bref in 1892 : anteckningar från en resa i fd svenska Pommern and a year later the Landtbruksförhållanden i fdsvenska Pomerania: reseanteckningar .

Fredrik Åkerblom married Mary Henny Scott (1851-1916) in 1883.
