Freek Mestrini
Freek Mestrini (born September 12, 1946 in Heerlen ) is a Dutch musician and composer. He is the owner of Wertach Musikverlag.
Life
Freek Mestrini studied music in Kerkrade and Antwerp . From 1964 to 1973 he was principal trumpeter with the military orchestra of the Royal Dutch Navy and trumpeter with the Rotterdam Opera Orchestra . Afterwards he was first flugelhornist of the Original Egerländer Musikanten wind orchestra for over 20 years . To this day he writes compositions and arrangements for wind orchestra. Mestrini is an international judge, lecturer and seminar leader in the trumpet and flugelhorn subject. In 1994 he founded his own music publisher. In the same year he opened a shop in Kaufbeuren in the Allgäu. The name of the publisher is derived from the "Wertach" river that flows through the town of Kaufbeuren. In the meantime, over 700 of the publisher's own works have been published by this music publisher.
