The Freiheizhalle (also called Das Freiheiz ) is a venue for concerts, club nights, theater, cabaret and readings in the Neuhausen district of Munich . It is located at Rainer-Werner-Fassbinder-Platz 1 and has 399 seats.

The brick hall and chimney used to be a turbine factory for generating electricity for the railway. The use as an event location was initiated and planned by Günter Knoll in 2007/2008 . The program includes live music, comics, literature, video visuals, cabaret, comedy and club culture.

Program (selection)

The Freiheizhalle program included and continues to include artists from German-speaking countries such as Gerhard Polt , Jürgen von der Lippe , Voxxclub , Ingo Lenßen and Sahra Wagenknecht .
