Moosegg open-air theater

The Moosegg Freilichtspiele were founded in 1997 under the label of Freilichttheater Moosegg-eifach ds Höchstscht and since then have performed one or two productions annually in the Moosegg clearing near Lauperswil in the Emmental in the canton of Bern .

history

In 1997, Franz Matter's production team founded the open-air theater on Moosegg. Every year, amateur actors performed a home piece on the forest clearing at around 1000  m above sea level. M. brought. Director and producer Simon Burkhalter took over responsibility in 2017 and has since continued the open-air theater under the new name Freilichtspiele Moosegg with a new concept. In recent years, professional actors and singers have appeared on the stage alongside numerous amateurs. So were, among others, Marc "Cuco" Dietrich and Walter Andreas Müller worked for the open-air theater in the Emmental. Domenico Blass , Paul Steinmann, Gerhard Meister and EY Meyer wrote world premieres and dramatizations for Moosegg , among others .
