Freiverkehr (customs law)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In terms of customs law , the open market is a movement of goods which, in contrast to goods bound in the customs procedure, are in free circulation under customs law, i.e. in free circulation ( community goods ). Non-community goods change their status when they are put into free circulation and become community goods (Art. 79 CC). After the import customs debt has been paid, there is no longer any customs surveillance, only random checks by the customs authorities or the Federal Border Guard at airports or seaports if the preferential tariff depends on a special use such as industrial production within the framework of the customs union . In Article 129 of the modernized Customs Code from 2013, the customs procedure then reads: Release for free circulation.
