The Tianjin Foreign Language University ( Chinese  天津 外国语大学 , Pinyin Tiānjīn Wàiguóyǔ Dàxué ), colloquially Tianwai (天 外), is a university in Tianjin , China . It offers courses in the humanities, with an emphasis on foreign languages.

history

The story goes back to a language school at the former Tianjin Business University. In 1946 the range of subjects at the school was expanded to include Western languages. In 1964 it was converted into a university with state degrees and finally received university status in 2010.

Schools and Studies

The university is divided into two locations in Tianjin, with one campus near the old city center and another in Binhai . It is organized in 14 faculties and offers both Bachelor and Master degrees .

Languages ​​taught include English , Japanese , French , Korean , Russian , German , Spanish , Italian , Portuguese , Arabic, and Swahili .
