Fresha Mwangi gained her first international experience at the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville , where she made it to the semi-finals in the 100-meter run , in which she was eliminated with 12.02 seconds. In addition, she finished fourth in the Kenyan 4 x 100 meter relay in 44.75 s. The following year she was eliminated at the African Championships in Durban with 12.57 s in the first round over 100 meters, as well as two years later at the African Championships in Asaba with 12.33 s. There she won the bronze medal behind Nigeria and the Ivory Coast with the relay in 45.58 s.
