The Fresh Water Inlet is a small bay on the south coast of Bird Iceland before the western end of South Georgia . It represents the eastern arm of Jordan Cove .
The South Georgia Survey mapped them as part of its 1951-1957 campaign. The British biologist William N. Bonner named the bay because it is fed by a series of freshwater streams.
