Frida Hyvönen (* 1977 ) is a Swedish singer-songwriter .

biography

Frida Hyvönen grew up in Robertsfors in northern Sweden . Later she moved to Stockholm, where she made her first album Until Death Comes with producer Jari Haapalainen of The Bear Quartet under the label Licking Fingers of The Concretes published. The album was successful in Sweden and was awarded the Stockholm Prize by the newspaper Nöjesguiden. She was then signed by the Secretly Canadian label , which also launched the album outside of Sweden in 2006. In the same year she toured with the Swedish singer-songwriters Jens Lekman and José González .

In 2006 she and Pudel created the soundtrack for a dance performance by the choreographer Dorte Olsen .

In 2008 Frida Hyvönen released, again with producer Jari Haapalainen, her third album, Silence Is Wild , which made it to number 9 on the Swedish charts.
