Frieda Schäfer

Frieda Schäfer (born February 19, 1904 in Lengerich ; † April 5, 1980 there ) was a German politician (KPD).

Schäfer attended elementary school and then became a nurse. In 1934 she was sentenced to one and a half years in prison for allegedly preparing for high treason.

After the end of the Second World War, she joined the KPD in 1946 and became a member of the appointed city council of Osnabrück. She was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the first electoral period from April 20, 1947 to April 30, 1951. From May 1947 she was an assessor in the Lower Saxony state parliament.
