Friedel Kostors
Friedel Kostors , actually Elfriede Kostors, (born February 1, 1897 ; † May 21, 1986 in Sebnitz ) was a German costume designer and doll designer.
After the Second World War, Kostors worked as the second dressmaker after Elisabeth Grünwaldt for the then world-famous Hohnsteiner puppet shows by Max Jacob .
Together with Grünwaldt, she was responsible for designing the costumes for the hand puppet heads carved by Theo Eggink (and later Till de Kock ) and also created numerous imaginative textile figures.
Kostor's creations also included the dog "Struppi", known from GDR television, portrayed by the renowned puppeteer Heinz Fülfe .
Works by Friedel Kostors can now be found in the local museum of Sebnitz , in the traditional hand puppet show in Hohnstein (Saxon Switzerland) and in the Museum for Puppet Theater Culture in Bad Kreuznach as well as in the collection of Piccolo puppet shows .
