Frieder Faist

Frieder Faist (born June 10, 1948 in Augsburg , † August 6, 2008 in Augsburg) was a German writer .

Life

Frieder Faist completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and then worked as a commercial and administrative clerk. Until 1980 he ran a pub in Augsburg, where he continued to live as a freelance writer and also died in August 2008 at the age of 60.

Frieder Faist is the author of a number of detective novels set in his Augsburg homeland, as well as numerous radio plays . In 1982 and 1987 he received the Art Promotion Prize of the City of Augsburg and in 1985 the German Crime Prize .
