Friedhelm Bliemel

Friedhelm Bliemel (born April 18, 1941 in Breslau ) is a professor emeritus at the University of Kaiserslautern.

Live and act

Friedhelm Bliemel studied engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt . There he became active in the Corps Chattia Darmstadt in 1961 . He then studied management science, especially marketing, in the USA. There he graduated with a master's degree and received his PhD from the Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University . In 1971 he received his first professorship at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland. There he was involved in setting up the internationally oriented MBA program there. He then represented the Industrial Goods Marketing department at Queen's University in Canada. He was also Marketing Director within the Nestlé Group Germany for several years and also taught as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Business Management in Koblenz / Vallendar. From 1987 to 2007, Bliemel held the marketing chair in the economics department of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern . Today he lives as an emeritus in Kaiserslautern.
