Friedhelm Ottlinger

Friedhelm Ottlinger (born June 4, 1930 in Witten ; † February 12, 2001 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and secondary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a baker. From 1949 to 1964 he worked as a pipe inspector in the steel industry. From 1964 he was employed as a union secretary and from 1970 as managing director of the metal industry union in Witten. From 1953 Ottlinger was a member of the SPD.

He was married and had two children.

MP

From May 29, 1980 to May 30, 1990 Ottlinger was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 123 Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis III .

He was a council member of the city of Witten from 1956 to 1978. From 1975 he was a member of the district council of the Ennepe-Ruhr district .

Public offices

From 1967 to 1978 Ottlinger was Lord Mayor of the city of Witten and from October 1979 to December 1985 honorary district administrator of the Ennepe-Ruhr district.
