Friedhelm Püttmann

Friedhelm Püttmann (born March 6, 1926 in Kettwig ; † April 3, 1995 in Mettmann ) was a senior ministerial advisor in the Ministry of Culture in North Rhine-Westphalia and honorary professor for theory and practice of vocational schooling at RWTH Aachen University .

Live and act

Püttmann studied psychology, pedagogy and sociology at the University of Münster and did his doctorate with Wolfgang Metzger . On August 6, 1985, he was appointed honorary professor for theory and practice of vocational schools at RWTH Aachen University.

Püttmann helped shape the vocational training in Germany, u. a. as long-time chairman of the subcommittee for vocational education of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Culture of the Federal States in the Federal Republic of Germany (UABBi).

In addition, he was a member of the Committee for General and Vocational Schooling of the Council of Europe , a member of the advisory committee “School and Vocational Education” of the EC Commission, chairman of the “School and Vocational Education” sub-commission of the German-German Education Commission and Deputy Secretary General European Association of Vocational Training Institutions EVBB.

On November 15, 1988, Püttmann received the award of the West German Chamber of Crafts (WHKT) for his services .
