Friedhelm Simelka

Friedhelm Simelka (born August 23, 1932 in Bochum ; † November 8, 2008 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

After attending elementary school and high school, Friedhelm Simelka studied economics and education in Bonn and Cologne. In 1958 and 1961 he passed the exams as a business teacher and business graduate. From 1958 to 1959 he was then a commercial apprentice candidate. From 1959 to 1962 he worked as a commercial instructor in Herne. From 1962 he was a teacher.

politics

Friedhelm Simelka was a member of the SPD from 1955. He became a member of the district association board. He was a member of the socialist youth movement " Die Falken " from 1946 and from 1954 to 1956 he acted as regional association chairman of the Socialist German Student Union. From 1958 he was a member of the education and science union, IG Metall from 1963.

Friedhelm Simelka was directly elected member of the 6th and 7th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 105 Bochum I from July 25, 1966 to May 27, 1975.Simelka was deputy chairman of the SPD state parliamentary group from March 1971 to May 1975.
