Bruchsal cemetery
The Bruchsal cemetery is located in the southeast of the city of Bruchsal in Baden-Württemberg and is the largest of seven urban grave fields. The cemetery has a size of nine hectares and is located south of the Church of Saint Peter . The site is also the largest green space in the city of Bruchsal. The graves of around 10,000 deceased are currently on the site.
history
Burials have been taking place on today's cemetery grounds since the end of the 13th century. In the years 1900–1940 the area was enlarged several times. The cemetery reached its present size after several extensions in 1985.
In 1878 the former Jewish cemetery of Bruchsal was built, which is directly adjacent to the current cemetery area.
In 1919 was to the fallen of World War I , a memorial cemetery within the existing site created and built a memorial.

The following well-known people, among others, were buried at the cemetery in Bruchsal:
- Roman Friedrich Heiligenthal (1880–1951), architect and historian
- Barbara Ihle (1871–1943), writer
