Karmėlava cemetery

The Karmėlava Cemetery (lit. Karmėlavos kapinės ) is the main cemetery of the city of Kaunas in Lithuania . It is located in Rykštynė village , Karmėlava county , west of Karmėlava town , not far from Peleniai village . It is 82.2 hectares in size. The cemetery was established in 1985. Around 1000 people are buried every year. The Karmėlava cemetery is managed and looked after by the Kauno SĮ “Kapinių priežiūra” municipal company .
