Friedl Loor

Friedl Loor (born December 9, 1919 in Karbitz ) is an Austrian operetta singer and actress .

biography

Friedl Loor, who comes from Karbitz in northern Bohemia, today Chabařovice, is the younger sister of the chamber singer Emmy Loose .

After graduating from high school , she began studying medicine. In 1945 she fled to Vienna, where she completed a vocal degree. Through the mediation of Fritz Imhoff , she received engagements at the Vienna City and Citizens' Theater , where she appeared in various operetta productions, for example in Franz Lehár's Count of Luxembourg and Carl Michael Ziehrer's Landstreicher .
