action

The angels revolt in heaven against their boring robes. They want to wear chic clothes, just like people do. The angel Angelika is sent to earth to look around at the fashion king Clemens Maria Weidenauer in Vienna .

When he sees Angelika, he is horrified at the uninspired nature of her angel costume and accidentally rips off one of her wings. Now she cannot go back to heaven unless she does a good deed.

There she meets the young composer Hans Lieven, who is so taken with her voice that he gets her an engagement at the theater. She was very successful, so Lieven was asked to compose a waltz for her next performance. But he doesn't want to make the big hit. He falls asleep from exhaustion. When he wakes up again, the notes for the “Heavenly Waltz” are next to him. Angel Angelica has now done her good deed and can go back to heaven. But when the angels bring her new wings, she decides for the earth and love.
