occupation

Woe to you when you let go is a German comedy film from 1958 directed by Géza von Cziffra with the leading actors Peter Alexander and Bibi Johns .

action

Peter Holunder wants to practice with his friends Willi, Oskar and Jupp for an upcoming jazz competition. His uncle Tobias, on whose farm Peter lives, should not find out about it. The young men meet the attractive Dagmar, a relative of Willi's, in the inn at the “Red Ox”, where Peter accommodates his friends. They begin to make music together and are promptly involved in a fight with the members of the local choral society "Happy Boys".

When she meets Christa Knax, Peter is mistakenly mistaken for the well-known show jumper Robert "Bubi" Bender. Peter and his band receive an invitation to a party in the Knax family's villa. Peter and Dagmar, who work for the Knax family, meet several times and fall in love.

The festival turns into a catastrophe when the animals from the surrounding farms, attracted by Peter's harmonica playing, appear uninvited and destroy the cold buffet. It also comes out that he is not Bubi Benda, but Peter Holunder. When the music competition finally takes place in the Konzerthaus, there is another mix-up there. Peter Holunder is mistaken for the conductor Erichsen. So it happens that Peter unexpectedly appears on stage with a classical orchestra. The audience is quite impressed by his performance.
