action
The Viennese hotelier Sebastian Wellner and his son Hans Wellner report the disappearance of their servant Ferdinand Kofler and a pair of trousers whose pockets were filled with cash. It will later be found out that Ferdinand was stopped by a friend and that no theft was involved.
At his father's request, the easy-going Hans should learn the hotel industry in Tyrol. Hans falls in love with Edith Martens, the new tenant of his Vienna apartment. Edith will temporarily accompany her aunt Amalie, who is on her way to Tyrol, in order to live in Rabenstein Castle again after ten years of occupation . In order to be able to stay close to Edith, Hans accepts a servant position with Aunt Amalie. In his place, Hans sends the servant Ferdinand to Tyrol, where he takes up the volunteer position under the name 'Hans Wellner'.
