action

Marina Martin is not only a gifted Viennese singer, but also a celebrated revue star. When one day she falls in love with the good, decent and humble painter Michael Frank and even considers giving up her career because of him, not only is her theater director Nachmann angry, but also literally the devil is going on in hell. Because the boss himself, who can closely follow what is happening above the earth via television, does not take any pleasure in this liaison and absolutely wants to interfere. Because Marina is considered a “male murdering” diva, as her infernal index card attests. The ruler of the underworld, Beelzebub, calls his co-workers together to discuss what to do in this case. The boss then orders his diabolical ambassadors Daniel and Belial to go to earth to cause unrest on site.

Daniel is supposed to seduce Marina in the form of a baritone, he borrows the singing voice from Belial. They want to prove that Marina is not capable of pure and altruistic love at all. Daniel soon finds so much pleasure in his role on earth and in earthly life in general that he no longer wants to return the borrowed voice to Belial after the work is done. As a result, there is soon a lot of trouble among the infernal rascals. When the television went down, everything seemed to get out of hand, and Beelzebub was very annoyed because obviously nobody was following his instructions. In order to save what can be saved, he finally sends his minister Samuel and his seductive daughter Lucretia to earth to complete his sinister plans. But despite all attempts at seduction, the rather earthly love finally prevails.
