Franz Boheim

Franz Böheim (born June 24, 1909 in Vienna ; † March 24, 1963 there ; born Franz Böhm ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied German and theater studies at the University of Vienna and at the Academy for Music and Performing Arts . From 1928 he played at the Vienna Volkstheater , from 1938 to 1953 at the Theater in der Josefstadt and from 1953 at the Volksoper .

In 1951 he took part in the Salzburg Festival , from 1955 he worked at the Vienna Burgtheater , from 1959 again at the Volksoper in Vienna. Franz Böheim also took on smaller roles in German and Austrian film productions. His younger brothers Carlo Böhm and Alfred Böhm were also successful actors.

Franz Böheim died in his apartment as a result of a heart attack, his grave is in the Grinzinger Friedhof in Vienna (group 3, number 5).
