Alfred Böhm (born March 23, 1920 in Vienna ; † September 22, 1995 in Wieselburg , Lower Austria ) was an Austrian chamber actor .

Life

The character comedian Böhm first appeared in Innsbruck and Linz and was a member of the ensemble at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna from 1958 to 1980 . This was followed by guest appearances in the cabaret Simpl by Karl Farkas .

However, the focus of Alfred Böhm's acting activities was film and television . In addition to numerous roles in television series such as the Leitner family or Der Leihopa , Böhm was also known for his role in the first part of the film series Der Bockerer by Franz Antel . In 1992 he received a Romy and in 1995 the platinum Romy for life's work.

His role as "Ober Alfred" in the ORF senior citizens' club is also legendary . In addition, Böhm also appeared as a singer in Viennese songs and in the Simpl cabaret .

Alfred Böhm was the younger brother of the actors Carlo Böhm and Franz Böheim .

His grave is in the Wieselburg cemetery . He refused a grave of honor in the Vienna Central Cemetery .
