At the train station, Franz enters the wrong train with some of the children, but Waldemar puts them on the right train. The journey goes to Gmünd in the Maltatal. On the bus, Emmerich sings a song with the children, but other passengers feel disturbed. They are then abandoned by the bus on the country road and they start the hike through the alpine landscape. The wild children are enthusiastic about the natural spectacles and discover tadpoles and anthills. You take quarters in the Karlbad . Waldemar, Franz and Emmerich are taking a cure there. During the night the grandpas complain about the desolate quarters, but fall asleep. Meanwhile, the children secretly sneak outside, but then shrink away from the cows. In the morning they enjoy the Sterz meal and then watch the baths being prepared. On the next hike, the grandpas lose their orientation and Emmerich and the children build a bridge over the stream from a tree trunk. During a further rest, one child climbs a tall tree at the request of the other. Finally, the boy no longer dares to climb down, but with Emmerich's help he succeeds. The next time they travel by bus, they are released a second time and march on along the road. This episode includes the invitation to bathe - the drawn out "badn!" in the Karlbad.

18. The cradle festival.

Waldemar celebrates his 64th birthday in the apartment, which is being prepared by the other grandpas. Ms. Röcker is also present. Then the agency boss joins them, who also brings a cake. The head of the agency notices that a lot of people are suddenly asking for hire. Franz had the idea of founding a grandpa agency . Waldemar rejects this for the time being. The postman is drunk and Fili has to accompany him home. Udo also says goodbye to Waldemar because he and his parents have to emigrate to Bosnia. Franz shows Waldemar a vacant but desolate apartment that, according to Franz and Mrs Wavra's plans, is to be set up as a grandpa agency. Waldemar vehemently rejects this, because he made a joke with this idea and does not want to be a boss. The postman also announces to Waldemar that he has retired and wants to work in the planned grandpa agency, as does the office servant Emmerich Nowak. Waldemar is also against this in this regard. Waldemar also says goodbye with roses to the agency boss, who takes leave of Waldemar with a heavy heart. Against Waldemar's will, however, the desolate apartment is set up as a grandpa agency, with many plants being delivered, which are being fought over. Udo's father also helps with the furnishing. In the new grandpa agency, the grandpas look at each other in embarrassment as there is initially no rush for clients. Immediately afterwards an elderly lady appears in the grandpa agency - Mrs. König, who wants to offer herself as a loan grandma in the grandpa agency. This speaks the same wording as Waldemar once did at the grandma agency. With Franz and Waldemar this triggers the same skepticism as that of the agency boss. However, it is not really clear whether this new surrogate grandma will actually be accepted.

19. One year later.

Waldemar plays in the new grandpa agency with the only client so far - a little boy. The grandpas complain about the lack of children and bring ideas for the upswing of the grandpa agency. It turns out that Nowak has placed an ad for an escort service for women without Franz's knowledge. In the park Waldemar meets a strict mother, for whose child he offers to look after the grandpas. When Franz arrives, she vigorously refuses the offer. The postman and Nowak have to take two ladies from England to the wine tavern. The English ladies are very lively and the gentlemen have difficulty communicating, but they get very drunk. The postman and Nowak spend the night drunk in the grandpa agency, whereupon Franz dismisses them. Waldemar is engaged with the art enthusiast Mrs. Freudenberger, who is a psychologist and whose daughter Claudia (called "Schimmerchen") is very slow to learn. Ms. Freudenberger immediately offers Waldemar psychological treatment, which he refuses. She instructs Waldemar to accompany her daughter Claudia to the child psychologist. At the sausage stand, Waldemar grapples with two wild youngsters whom he has to pay for the sausages. In the grandpa agency, Mrs. Freudenberger hands over her daughter Claudia Waldemar and Mrs. Freudenberger tries to treat Franz psychologically, which he is not happy with. Claudia confesses to Waldemar that she doesn't like going to the child psychologist and that she doesn't care about anything. At the psychologist, Claudia is initially impassive and Waldemar interferes in the conversation. When Claudia is supposed to record her favorite things, she draws the face of the psychologist, which amazes her. The psychologist also compliments Waldemar, who does not understand. With Claudia she noticed a success after 27 sessions. Claudia makes a drawing for Waldemar in the park. Claudia's mother (Mrs. Freudenberger) is also surprised by her talent for drawing. Claudia also gives Waldemar a recorder as it is not musical. In the grandpa agency, Franz presents a new device, the borrowed computer, whereby Waldemar feels superfluous. A game appears on the computer and the grandpas are clumsy.

20. A cuckoo's egg.

The agency boss is again negative towards Waldemar because she prefers to have grandmas in her agency, whereby Waldemar complains that the grandpa agency is not doing well at all. When you call, however, she offers Waldemar as a loan grandpa. Waldemar faces a complicated case. He gets into conversation with the lawyer of a woman who demands a loaned grandpa for her little son David, who comes from Bavaria . This woman, who had an accident, had once divorced her husband, who also comes from Bavaria, because he emigrated to South America. She has also applied for custody of David and entrusted David to his grandfather - a Bavarian stubborn skull - for some time in Munich, which she deeply regrets because she abysmally hates her father-in-law (David's grandfather). Grandfather also described David's mother as bad. When he visits the hospital, David is disgruntled with his mother because he demands that he return to his grandfather. Waldemar takes David into his apartment and when he puts him to sleep, Waldemar comforts David that everything will be fine. That night Waldemar received a rather unfriendly visit from David's Bavarian grandfather - Mr. Mittermeier. He admits that he secretly flew to Vienna with David on the same plane and persistently demands for his grandson David and also insults Waldemar for his work as a loan dad. Mr. Mittermaier explains his circumstances and then Waldemar and Mr. Mittermaier get along and form an alliance. Franz also gets to know the Bavarian grandfather and at Franz's request Mr. Mittermaier sleeps in Waldemar`s apartment to be near David's and Waldemar has to sleep on the sofa. When they pick up David's mother from the hospital, she is outraged by the secret connection between Waldemar and Mr. Mittermeier. In the grandpa agency, Waldemar has an argument with Franz over the Bavarian cuckoo ice cream. During a phone call, David grumbles at his grandfather, which is against his mother's will. At David's bed, which is shaped like a racing car, his mother tries to comfort David, but David is disapproving and grumpy and also refuses to eat. The grandfather seeks help from Waldemar because his mother has not let him into the apartment. Waldemar advises Mr. Mittermeier to reconcile with his daughter-in-law. When the two gentlemen visit their mother, she is deeply desperate about David's behavior and when Waldemar brings about a reconciliation between the two, David is well again and the family reunites. Finally, Franz Waldemar offers to return to the grandpa agency, but gives him a naughty dog as a client, which angrily leaves the grandpa agency.

21. A good tip.

In the park, Waldemar meets a young man (Peter) who is a medical student and also a babysitter. He talks to Waldemar about baby care. A dog escaped the postman in the forest, although Waldemar initially suspects that it was a child. However, Waldemar finds the little dog. In the grandpa agency, Franz is awkward with the computer and also treats Waldemar unfriendly, while Emmerich Nowak advertises the grandpa agency with a portable poster on the street. Mr Peter applies to the agency boss as a babysitter, but the agency boss rejects him. When Waldemar arrives with a baby, he too sends him away. On the radio Waldemar hears the voice of the mailman who advertises the grandpa agency, but Fili intervenes. Waldemar later suggests to the head of the agency to put an advertisement for her grandma agency in the newspaper, which she also refuses. Then Waldemar speaks a radio advertisement for Grandpa and Grandma service, whereby he disguises his voice. Franz wrote a letter to the editor in the newspaper, about which Waldemar is outraged again, but the radio advertising is praised. The Kalkmann family is in a lousy mood because the parents want to go out and, through a mishap, have ordered two babysitters for their little son Robert. When Waldemar arrives at the Kalkmann family, Mr. Kalkmann decides to pay both babysitters. Waldemar takes care of the boy Robert, who is absorbed in an action film on television. Robert behaves sullenly towards Waldemar and when the young Mr. Peter shows up afterwards, Waldemar is unfriendly to him, but Mr. Peter has been ordered by Franz. When the television breaks, Robert's displeasure increases and he refuses every game the grandpas rehearse. Little by little the other grandpas join them; Robert thus has five loan shops. Thereupon Robert locks himself in the toilet on purpose, calls for help and finally Emmerich Nowak has to break through the toilet door with a running start, which leads to injury and property damage. Franz seriously confronts the grandpas and a dispute emerges as to who should pay the damage, whereby Waldemar confesses to be guilty and recruits Mr. Peter as grandpa of the agency. The agency boss is now starting a relationship with Mr. Peter. Fili suggests to Waldemar to marry again, which he tends to decline. In this episode, the new postman, Mr. Julius, appears for the first time, who constantly listens to voice cassettes with his Walkman while on duty.

22. Everything takes time.

Waldemar is a guest of the Aigner foster family with a winery in Styria . He is now the travel companion for little Tessa, whose mother has died, and is supposed to take her to Vienna to see her father. On the train, Waldemar and Tessa are approached by the old, malicious Frau Weghuber, who gets on Waldemar. Tessa meets her father at Vienna's Südbahnhof and is happy. When Frau Weghuber asks Waldemar for his address, he lies to her by writing down the address of his friend Franz. Then she is picked up by her daughter-in-law. In the pub he also sees a neglected 14-year-old girl in a black jacket who is the first to commit a theft. When the girl sees two police officers and Waldemar passing by, Waldemar pretends to be her grandpa and initially calls her Isabella. When the police leave, the girl is sullen and cheeky because her name is not Isabella, but Karolina. In the restaurant she complains to Waldemar about her fate with her parents' house; She has a constantly drunk, brutal father and a heart sick, weak mother. Waldemar accompanies Karolina to her parents' apartment, where Waldemar has a brutal argument with Mr. Brunner (Karolina's father), where Mr. Brunner Waldemar "gives" Karolina and forcibly evicts him from the apartment - Karolina behaves fearfully. Waldemar takes Karolina into his apartment, which makes Franz upset again and fears that Karolina will empty the apartment for him, which is not the case. Fili is also upset about Karolina's stay in Waldemar's apartment. Waldemar also dresses her new. Waldemar now has the plan to adopt Karolina, although her mother is strictly against it, but she is in favor of Waldemar's acceptance as a foster child. She also states that the father should once have been gentler. The youth welfare office refuses admission as a foster child for reasons of age - however, Waldemar would be allowed to adopt. Waldemar is deeply disappointed and Franz comforts him. Waldemar also asks the agency boss for help, but she cannot help either. Franz suggests to Waldemar that Karolina should be brought to some nice foster parents. He then brings Karolina to the Aigner family in Styria, who lovingly welcome her. There too, Karolina behaves disturbed and does not take part in any work. At dinner Karolina refuses to eat, smashes a plate and "demands" beatings from Mr. Aigner. However, Mr. Aigner is meek. Karolina begins to settle in well later. Finally Waldemar is called into his apartment by Franz and Waldemar's dizziness is cleared up. There he meets Ms. Weghuber, who is outraged by the fraud with the wrong address. Franz Waldemar also leaves Ms. Weghuber alone.

23. Who laughs scars, never felt the wounds.

Waldemar meets the postman Julius at the mailboxes, who is deeply disappointed that his girlfriend has left him. Waldemar then helps him deal with the mail, but is caught by the old postman and thinks it is presumptuous. Waldemar brings the girl Patricia to the grandpa agency, who starts a debate about love and Franz is clumsy with the computer, but Patricia helps. Mr. Novak goes for a walk with a dog in the park in the evening and meets the young lovers Robert and Julia, who linger on the park bench and both come from shoemaker families who hate each other profoundly because of the competition of the shoemaker's trade and are therefore also against Robert's love and Julia. Novak immediately takes the two of them to the grandpa agency and lets them spend the night there (together), which causes trouble with Franz. Waldemar brings the young people back to their parents, which they disagree with. The Wabel family (Julia's parents) immediately suspect a hot affair and react viciously - also to Waldemar, her father decides to send Julia to boarding school; The mood is also bad at the Schneider family, who run a fast shoe service. The grandmother thanks Waldemar for "saving" Robert from Julia and she decides to send Robert, the mechanic's apprentice, to an uncle in Graz to complete his apprenticeship there. Robert is temporarily arrested by his grandmother's room and Julia secretly visits him at the window and they decide to travel to an island, where Julia steals her father's savings account. Waldemar now has a vision to save Robert and Juliet's love by deciding to present the play Romeo and Juliet to the Wabel and Schneider families with his friends in the form of a "scenic reading". Franz vehemently rejects this for the time being, but the other grandpas are enthusiastic about this plan. Waldemar assigns the roles to his friends, with the two postmen slipping into the main roles and the performance takes place in an Italian restaurant. At first, Mr. Wabel radically refused the invitation, but then all the guests appeared for the reading. The parents are touched during the reading, but Julia flirts with the restaurant's Italian kitchen boy. At the end of the reading, the families are happy and allow the children to have normal friendship. The children reject the next meeting on the pretext that Julia has to "learn math". Waldemar and Franz regret this performance when they go for a walk at night, as it was of no use.

24. The girlfriend.

The agency boss is deeply outraged by Waldemar`s inappropriate jokes about love and that he is likely to be intrusive. Waldemar has to look after 2-year-old Klaus, the child of the young cellist Ursula, who is the best friend of the agency boss. Klaus's father is a married trumpeter in her orchestra who has left her. Ursula has since hated men and was accepted into a women's orchestra. Waldemar takes care of little Klaus, whom he loves. Waldemar and Franz visit a café with little Klaus, where a concert by Ursula's orchestra takes place at 5 o'clock tea. There there is misunderstanding with the waiter and Waldemar is impossible, but then congratulates Ursula on the beautiful piece of music. After Waldemar puts little Klaus to sleep, Ursula comes home drunk and he helps her take off her dress, but it tears up. Ursula is as good as in love with Waldemar and she sleeps on the sofa. Waldemar also stays in the apartment. The next morning the head of the agency rings the doorbell and Waldemar answers. The boss is not at all happy about this and strongly suspects a love affair between Waldemar and Ursula. Ursula is still dazed from the day before and says that she thinks Waldemar is nice. The reason for the agency boss to appear was that an orchestra is looking for a cellist. Waldemar later meets ladies who belong to a demonstration "More women in parliament" and invite Waldemar to demonstrate what he accepts. Later Waldemar hands little Klaus over to Franz's grandpa agency and Waldemar goes to Ursula in the concert hall, where she has to do her audition. With a trick, Waldemar tries to get Ursula into the orchestra as a cellist by joining the examination board and praising her playing above all else. Admission to the orchestra is thus successful. When Waldemar looked after Klaus again, Ursula gave him a rejection as babysitter and asked for a grandma for Klaus, which offended Waldemar. Waldemar later dragged Franz to parliament, where the women's demonstration was supposed to take place. But they don't find the ladies there and the policeman can't provide any information. Franz thinks Waldemar is crazy.

25. That too.

Waldemar brings Franz to the train station because he is going to Payerbach to relax . There they meet the unfriendly Frau Weghuber and Waldemar then has to take her in a taxi. The conversation between the two is not the best. Ms. Weghuber has decided that she will look after her grandson Phillip by waking him up at 5 a.m. and having to do morning exercises because his parents are away. In the grandpa agency there is a heated argument between Ms. Wavra and Ms. Lindinger over a goulash for Waldemar and Waldemar slows the argument. In addition, a small dog that is supposed to be taken for a walk is hiding from the "wild women". Later, Ms. Weghuber is desperate and shocked and asks Waldemar for help, because her grandson Phillip was kidnapped by 3 gangsters in front of her apartment. She also refuses to let the police know and Waldemar has to work as detectives with the two mail carriers; have to research the boys who skip school. The boy Heinz claims to have measles. They observe the boy Julian buying radio material and suspect that a bomb is being made. Later they visit Julian in the house and ask him about Phillip. Julian provides information about this. Waldemar and the two postmen struck gold in a parking lot with wrecked cars. Phillip and 2 other boys stay in a minibus and have fun. The boys then threaten the grandpas with spray guns; it turns out that Phillip staged a kidnapping with 3 of his classmates to escape his strict grandmother. Waldemar takes Phillip to the grandpa agency and when Ms. Weghuber appears she is overjoyed. However, the truth about the kidnapping in front of Ms. Weghuber remains in the dark. Ms. Lindinger wakes Waldemar at 7.30 a.m. with a gymnastics cassette and when he comes to the grandpa agency he finds Franz who has returned home early from recovery. Franz confronts Waldemar for not taking care of the agency during that time. When he tells Franz about the kidnapping, he reacts angrily. On the street, Waldemar meets Ms. Weghuber again, who has lost her precious ring and asks Waldemar to find it too.

26. Who would have thought.

The postman brings Waldemar a letter from his daughter-in-law from America, who brings the news that his son Hans has had a fatal accident. This stroke of fate takes away Waldemar's joie de vivre. Since the postman is with Waldemar, he informs Franz, who wants to give Waldemar consolation, but Waldemar is almost inconsolable and does not want to eat anything. Later his daughter-in-law comes with the grandson John. When they appear at Waldemar's, John is disgruntled and hostile towards Waldemar and does not want to stay with him. Franz asks the agency boss for a "strong" child that Waldemar can distract from the grief. The girl Tessa should be accompanied to her relatives in Styria. When the boss gives Waldemar the order by phone, he refuses at first. Tessa is happy that Waldemar is accompanying her, but he is unwilling, but still gets ready to travel. At the Styrian winery, Waldemar is happily welcomed by Karolina, who goes to an agricultural school, and the children offer Waldemar to hide him secretly because he would have liked to stay at the winery. But he's too old for that. In addition, the agency boss was disappointed and abandoned by her friend Peter. Waldemar's friends also set up a temporary apartment for Waldemar's family in the grandpa agency. There, John writes a list of English vocabulary for the grandpas to learn English. Since the grandpas don't understand English, they immediately suspect insults, which John doesn't understand. When Waldemar returns, his daughter-in-law tells him about the grandpa agency's apartment. Afterwards Waldemar is witness to a marriage vow, as he apparently spoke to Peter in conscience, which leads to a success. Peter and the agency boss keep the ordered line-up and the boss's pregnancy a secret from Waldemar. Waldemar later tries to love his grandson John, but John locks himself up in front of him. But when Waldemar has to look after a neighbor's child and dog, John takes care of babysitting and Waldemar is amazed at his hand for children. Then Waldemar and John go on trips to the Vienna Woods and they both gain trust. Fili Lindinger has adjusted to American cuisine and prepares hamburgers. Franz is beside himself because there is strange data in the computer of the grandpa agency. However, the grandpas deny this strange entry. It then turns out that John made this entry. The series ends with the decision that John will probably be the next loan dad.
