Otto Anton Eder

Otto Anton Eder (born February 1, 1930 in Klagenfurt ; † August 25, 2004 ) was an Austrian director and actor .

biography

Eder was a trained theater scholar and director. After first experiences at the Theater an der Wien and the Wiener Kammerspiele , he worked for the Austrian broadcasting company from the beginning in 1955 . There he was responsible for television classics such as Wünsch Dir was , Quiz 21 , Club 2 , Café Central , the Leitner family , Der Leihopa or Wer A says .

However, he also directed individual major events such as the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck , the Kennedys and Khrushchevs summit in Vienna or the Pope's visit in 1983. Otto Anton Eder was married to the actress Bibiana Zeller in his first marriage, and the two sons Jakob and Fabian (director and cameraman) come from this marriage . In his second marriage, Eder was married to TV production manager Verena-Maria Leitner. Their son Sebastian Benjamin Eder arose from this relatively short marriage. Most recently he was married to the former general director of ORF, Monika Lindner .
