Lumpazivagabundus is an Austro-German comedy film directed by Edwin Zbonek from 1965 with Kurt Sowinetz , Helmut Qualtinger and Alfred Böhm in the leading roles. The story is based on the play Der böse Geist Lumpacivagabundus by Johann Nestroy .

The core of the well-known story about the temptation of three simple and righteous men by the devil Lumpazivagabundus has been retained: The three craftspeople on the roll - these are the tailor Zwirn, the carpenter journeyman Leim and the shoemaker Knieriem - are over by buying a lottery ticket Got rich night. Paimann's film lists found that this remake had all sorts of innovations and ideas that had not yet been seen, but the Nestroyian character had not been lost.
