Marianne Chappuis (born February 9, 1939 in Bern ) is a Swiss actress .

Life

Born in Bern, she decided to become an actress at the age of 15. After graduating from high school , she worked as a librarian for a year , but then went to Vienna and attended the Max Reinhardt Seminar there . Engagements at the Burgtheater and the Theater in der Josefstadt followed at the beginning of the 1960s . Marianne Chappuis was to remain loyal to the latter venue for the rest of her life. There you saw her in plays as different as Ferdinand Raimund's Der Alpenkönig und der Misfeind , the Arnold und Bach- Schwank Hurra, a boy , Eugène Labiches Der Hausfreund and Johann Nestroy's Der Bad Geist Lumpazivagabundus , where she embodied the Fludribus.
