Kitty Speiser
Kitty Speiser (born January 14, 1947 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress .
Life
She began studying at the Max Reinhardt Seminar at the age of 15 . She got her first role at the Theater der Jugend , followed by engagements in Germany.
In 1970 she brought Gustav Manker to the Vienna Volkstheater after making her debut there as Gilda in Arthur Schnitzler's comedy der Verführung in 1966 . Under Manker's direction she played Ophelia in Shakespeare's Hamlet 1603 and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet , both with Michael Heltau as a partner; die Jugend in Ferdinand Raimund's Der Bauer als Millionär with Karl Paryla , Christopherl in Eine Jux he wants to do himself by Johann Nestroy with Heinz Petters and the leading roles in the early Schnitzler pieces The Fairy Tale and Freiwild as well as its world premiere Zug der Schatten . Kitty Speiser was the unknown in Ödön von Horváth's Die Unbekannte aus der Seine , Brecht's Der gute Mensch von Sezuan , Isabella in Shakespeare's Maß für Maß with Hans Jaray and Franz Morak , Heloise in Abelaerd and Heloise with Jürgen Wilke , Viennese women with Herwig Seeböck and Das Concert by Hermann Bahr at the side of Hans Jaray, Susanne von Almassy and Michael Heltau.
Kitty Speiser has been a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble since 1979 .
