Carl Günther , also Karl Günther (born November 15, 1885 in Vienna , † June 27, 1951 there ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

After completing his acting training, Carl Günther played at various theaters in Berlin , Hamburg , Munich and Dresden . Later he was engaged in Vienna at the Volkstheater and the Theater in der Josefstadt .

He was seen in film from 1920, but only through his participation in Burgtheater as a partner of Olga Chekhova did he become known to a larger audience. From then on he played in several films every year as the actor of elegant, better men such as officers, nobles and people in leading positions, but mostly with an unpleasant character.
