Inge Konradi (born July 27, 1924 in Vienna ; † February 4, 2002 there ) was an Austrian film actress , chamber and theater actress .

Career

Inge Konradi studied at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and received her first engagement in 1942 at the Deutsches Volkstheater in Vienna under Walter Bruno Iltz , after having performed there as a drama student since 1941. As the inaugural role she played Franziska in Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's Minna von Barnhelm , then in Gerhart Hauptmann's Die Jungfern vom Bischofsberg (1942) for the 80th birthday of the poet, Die Heiligen Johanna by George Bernard Shaw (1943, directed by Günther Haenel ), Ophelia in Shakespeare's Hamlet (1944) and Ferdinand Raimund's The Diamond of the Ghost King .

In 1951 she came to the Vienna Burgtheater , which she made an honorary member in 1992. Together with Josef Meinrad she worked there especially in pieces by Johann Nestroy . In 1984 Konradi was awarded the Raimund-Ring Theater Prize , an award in memory of Ferdinand Raimund . She received another theater award in 1986, the Nestroy Ring , which was donated on the occasion of Nestroy's 175th birthday. In 1988 she started teaching at the Max Reinhardt Seminar . In 1994 she received the title of professor.

Private

Konradi was married to the Austrian sculptor Wander Bertoni (1925-2019). Inge Konradi died of cancer on February 4, 2002 at the age of 77 and was buried in a grave of honor at the Vienna Central Cemetery (group 33 G, number 31). In 2006, Inge-Konradi-Gasse in Vienna- Floridsdorf (21st district) was named after her.
