The Friedrich-Ebert-Brücke is a road bridge in Aschaffenburg that crosses the Main 85.85 km above its mouth. The federal highway 26 and the Aschaffenburger Ringstraße run on it with four lanes and two-sided pedestrian and cycle paths. It connects the districts of Leider and the city center / city center.

It is named after the first Reich President of the Weimar Republic , Friedrich Ebert .

The crossing consists of two bridge structures located directly next to each other. The bridges are each approx. 15 m wide (together approx. 30 m) and 310 m long, with the same spans of 85, 138 and 87 m each.

At night, the bridge is optically enhanced by lighting.

Two more road bridges cross the Main in Aschaffenburg: Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke and Willigisbrücke .

Eastern bridge

The upstream bridge was built in 1969. Until the completion of the second bridge, it carried both directions of travel. Today it runs two lanes in the direction of the city center / city center.

Western bridge

The downstream bridge was added in 2008 and carries the two lanes in the direction of Leider.

It was built as a steel composite structure with a closed box cross-section. The total costs were estimated at around 14.5 million euros.
