The Friedrich-Ebert-Straße (formerly Hohenzollern Street) is a street in the Middle West in Kassel . It leads from Ständeplatz parallel to Wilhelmshöher Allee west out of town to Aschrott-Park.

The then Hohenzollernstraße was laid out as part of the city expansion to the west in the 19th century, the street width was 22 m and the specification of the development was 5 floors. Numerous Wilhelminian style houses were built in the street and in the adjacent quarter, many of them with a high standard of living by the construction company of Sigmund Aschrott . The court photographer Carl Eberth had his studio in the street .
In 1947 the street was renamed Karl-Marx-Straße , in 1949 the street was given its current name. In 1957, Wintershall AG built a high-rise as new corporate headquarters.
In 2016, the redesign of Friedrich-Ebert-Straße was awarded the German Urban Planning Prize awarded by the Association for Urban, Regional and State Planning , which was presented at the SRL annual conference on October 13, 2016 in Berlin.
