Friedrich-Theodor Hruška

Friedrich-Theodor Hruška (born February 13, 1930 in Bergkamen , Hamm district ; † November 7, 2013 ) was a German politician ( FDP ). From 1974 to 1978 and from 1982 to 1994 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Hruška graduated from the König-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Höxter in 1951 and then studied veterinary medicine in Hanover. He passed the state examination in 1956 and was subsequently appointed as a veterinarian. In 1958 he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine and was made a civil servant in 1965. From 1966 to 1968 he worked as a veterinary councilor in Syke , then from 1968 to 1973 he was head of the government veterinary council office in Hannoversch Münden , and from 1970 he was also a veterinary councilor. From January 1973 he was appointed head of the food law department at the government veterinary council office in Göttingen. From 1978 to 1982 he worked as veterinary director, as head of the veterinary office of the district and city of Göttingen. He was recognized as a specialist veterinarian for public veterinary services in 1981. He also completed additional training in electronic data processing at Siemens and studied administrative law as a guest auditor at the University of Göttingen.

Hruška joined the FDP in 1967. In 1972 he became a member of the regional executive committee and in 1980 chairman of the district association of his party's southern Lower Saxony. He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the 8th electoral term (June 21, 1974 to June 20, 1978) and in the 10th to 12th electoral period (June 21, 1982 to June 20, 1994). He also worked from July 10, 1974 to June 20, 1978 as secretary of the Lower Saxony state parliament. He was deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group from January 16, 1978 to June 20, 1978, June 21, 1982 to June 20, 1986 and from June 20, 1990 to June 20, 1994.

In 1996 Hruška was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Hruška was married and had three children.
