Friedrich Alexander von Schönberg (born January 27, 1754 in Dresden ; † November 12, 1803 ibid) was an electoral Saxon chamberlain , chief tax collector and manor owner.

Life

He came from the Saxon noble family von Schönberg and was the son of the royal Polish and electoral Saxon district chief and manor Heinrich Wilhelm von Schönberg . Adam Friedrich von Schönberg and his wife Wilhelmina Ernestina nee von Einsiedel were his grandparents.

Christiana Sophia von Schönberg, née von Liebenau, was his mother, whose only son he was. He was born on January 27, 1754 in Dresden and was baptized on January 31, 1754 in the Kreuzkirche there by the deacon Magister Schlipalius. At the time of his father's death in 1763, he was still under the age of majority, so that he was under guardianship for several years. As the father's successor, he became heir, feudal lord and court lord on Börnichen, Wingendorf with Hanichen and Wegefarth.

Like many members of his family, he also embarked on a career at the Saxon court in Dresden, where he was first appointed chamberlain and then chamberlain. Like his father, he was also the electoral Saxon chief tax collector.

Friedrich Alexander von Schönberg died of constipation on November 12, 1803 in the house at Schloßgasse 336 in Dresden and was transferred to Frankenberg on November 14, 1803 and buried there. He left his son Carl Friedrich Maximilian von Schönberg (born May 18, 1777 in Mühltroff) from his marriage to Maximiliana Erdmutha, nee von Kospoth, from the Mühltroff family, whose first godfather was General Field Marshal Friedrich Heinrich Eugen von Anhalt-Dessau from Saxony .
