Friedrich Böckmann

Friedrich Böckmann (born February 18, 1923 in Altenbögge ; † July 3, 1999 in Kamen ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, he was employed as an intern at the Reichsbahn repair shop in Schwerte. Following his military service , he completed teacher training from 1945 to 1947. Böckmann was in school until 1976, most recently as a special school rector . He was married and had two children.

He was a member of the Unna district council from 1969 to 1988. From December 14, 1970 to February 18, 1988, Böckmann was district administrator . From 1961 to 1971 he was a member of the Bönen municipal council . From 1964 to 1971 he held the office of mayor . As district administrator, he represented the Unna district in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia.

On December 7, 1983, Böckmann received the Eberle Medal of the Westphalian-Lippian Savings Banks and Giro Association and on February 18, 1988, the Medal of Honor of the Unna district. The "Freiherr-vom-Stein Medal in Silver" was awarded to him by the Regional Association of Westphalia on March 1, 1990. He received the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia on May 13, 1992 from Johannes Rau.
