Friedrich Brauner

Friedrich Brauner (* 1889 in Vienna ; † March 23, 1942 in Bernburg (Saale) ) was an Austrian machinist and resistance fighter . He was murdered by the Nazi regime in 1942 .

life and work

Brauner urged his colleagues to “disobey the air raid protection orders” and “to force hard worker cards through a strike”. He also stated that the war had broken out "through Germany's fault". Thereupon he was arrested in January 1940 for "subversive activities" and finally transferred to the Ravensbrück concentration camp . On March 23, 1942, he was murdered in the euthanasia center in Bernburg / Saale as part of the 14f13 campaign .
