Friedrich Carl Ludloff

Friedrich Johann Carl Ludloff (born January 4, 1766 in Sondershausen ; † January 26, 1824 in Sondershausen) was a Princely Schwarzburg forest secretary, court marshal office secretary and local writer .

Life

Friedrich Carl Ludloff was a son of Johann Friedrich Ludloff and a student of the writer Gottfried Conrad Böttger (1732–1794).

He wrote the only authentic biography of Johann Karl Wezel .

A fragment of a novel by Friedrich Carl Ludloff was published under the title Wezel im Walde. Published from the fragment of the novel Der Frühling im Walde .

Friedrich Carl Ludloff was the uncle of Gottlieb Wilhelm Ludloff , married and had no children. His specific grave is unknown, but is located on the historical Gottesacker Sondershausen.

  • From 1806 to 1810 he was the author of the weekly magazine " Gemeinnützige Blätter" for Schwarzburg-Sondershausen
  • From 1812 he was editor of the weekly paper Vaterländische Unterhaltungen ,
  • until 1821 co-author of the political magazine Teutonia - a magazine for the inhabitants of Germany ,
  • 1822 author of the Thuringian sagas and folk tales

Trivia

In a publication in his magazine Vaterländische Unterhaltungen in 1821 he dealt with the unmasking of a pseudonym of the writer Johann Gottfried Schnabel , which he also addressed in his collection of Thuringian sagas and folk tales .

Friedrich Carl Ludloff is “poor, died in a modest civil service”.
