Friedrich Caspers
Friedrich Caspers (born December 9, 1951 in Velbert ) is a German manager .
Life
After graduating from high school in Essen in 1970, he was trained as a reserve officer in the Bundeswehr from 1971 to 1972 . From 1973 to 1978 he studied business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster. He then worked as a research associate at the Institute for Industrial Business Research and was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. From 1983 to 1987 he worked for the management consultancy McKinsey & Company . He then moved to Allianz , where he was a board member from 1995 to 2001. In January 2006 he was elected to the board of R + V Versicherung . There he was CEO from May 2006 until the end of 2016. He is a member of the Presidium of the General Association of the German Insurance Industry .
