Friedrich Dörr (born April 30, 1831 in Schleswig , † June 29, 1907 in Berlin ) was a German educator and editor.

Friedrich Heinrich Jakob Ludwig Dörr, son of an elementary school teacher, attended the school of scholars in Glückstadt and studied philology and philosophy in Tübingen from 1852 . After completing his doctorate, he was head of a higher boys' school in Hamburg-Altona.

In 1857 Dörr was also a reviewer for Low German literature for the Grenzboten and the papers for literary entertainment . He edited the Altonaer Merkur from 1864 and the Lübecker Zeitung from 1866 . Later he was employed in the literary bureau in Berlin.

Dörr published the Plattdütschen Volkskalenner from 1858 to 1860 (at Voigt and Günther in Leipzig) and in 1869 anonymously the Plattdütsche Volksbok . In 1899 he published an essay on Low German Literature in the New Century .
