Friedrich Düßmann

Friedrich Düßmann (born January 31, 1907 in Bremen , † August 4, 1974 in Bremen) was a labor director , Bremen politician ( SPD ) and member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

education and profession

From 1946 Düßmann worked as a union secretary and from 1953 first authorized representative at the metalworking union (IGM) in Bremen. In the 1960s he worked as labor director at Klöckner-Werke (today: ArcelorMittal Bremen ) and became known through the metal workers' strike in 1969.

politics

Düßmann was a member of the SPD. After 1933 he was imprisoned for political reasons.

From 1946 to 1959 and from 1963 to 1971 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for 21 years and was active in various deputations and committees of the citizenship. From 1946 to 1959 he was secretary on the city council.
