Friedrich Ernst Brandt (born September 17, 1860 in Laibach ; † August 6, 1921 ) was an Austrian photographer.

From 1891 Brandt ran a clothing store, worked as an amateur photographer and founded the landscape and postcard publisher FE Brandt in 1893 . From 1895 he ran a studio and photo shop in Gmunden, Theatergasse 5 and later in Graben 3. The postcard publisher was founded in 1893, the postcard publisher in 1901. In 1921 the publisher was taken over by Brandt's daughter Anna (married Bodenstab), who started the company in 1953 as OHG with her daughter Ilse until 1964.

The picture postcards produced by Brandt in the chrome lithography process of Upper Austria and in particular of the Salzkammergut in hundreds of motifs became widespread in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and continue to impress with their naturalistic representation.
