Friedrich Grelle

Friedrich Heinrich Grelle (born July 23, 1835 in Bremen , † November 27, 1878 in Hanover ) was a German mathematician.

Life

Grelle studied mathematics at the University of Göttingen and was a member of the Corps Bremensia there . In 1857 he became a repetitionist of mathematics and in 1858 teacher of pure mathematics at the Polytechnic School in Hanover with the subjects elementary geometry, elementary arithmetic and higher mathematics. In March 1858 he obtained his doctorate in Göttingen. phil. In 1868 he received the title of professor. From 1876 to 1878 he was also the mathematical director of the Prussian civil servants' association in Hanover, which he co-founded.
