Friedrich Hellmich (born March 9, 1952 in Göttersdorf , district of Osterhofen ) is a German comic artist , novelist and author of travel guides and travel books.

Life

Friedrich Hellmich attended elementary school in Ulm. After successfully completing his degree, he first did an apprenticeship as a businessman and then another apprenticeship as a draftsman. At the age of 21 he started his own business as a typographer. He published his first work as a comic artist in 1978 with the comic book Anna's Dream.

A year later, the volume Gathered Drawings followed , a collection of all graphic works from pencil to ink drawings. After a long trip around the world and a four-month stay on Easter Island , he wrote the travel report Rapa Nui - Easter Island and the travel guide The Easter Island . This was followed by other travel guides to Thailand, Hong Kong and the Bavarian Forest . 2013 the novel Eyes as Brown as Two Crater Lakes , which takes a journalist and an archaeologist across Easter Island. By violating taboos, they come into conflict with the locals. This book is equipped with numerous ink drawings by the author. The secret of the maiden cave is also a novel. which takes place on Easter Island.
