Friedrich Lommel (politician)

Johann Friedrich Lommel (born May 11, 1804 in Weilburg ; † February 5, 1874 there ) was a Nassau merchant and member of the state parliament.

Life

Friedrich Lommel was the son of the businessman and shoemaker Philipp Theophil Lommel and his wife Maria Katherina nee Metzler.

Career

Friedrich Lommel was a merchant and councilor in Weilburg. In 1848/49 he was a founding member of the "Association for Freedom, Law and Order", later the German Association in Weilburg.

Friedrich Lommel was elected to the second chamber of the estates of the Duchy of Nassau in the first election in constituency VIII (Weilburg) in 1865 . He only held the mandate in 1865.

Friedrich Lommel, who was a Protestant denomination, married Emilie Luise Antoinette Katharina, born Leitner (born January 19, 1809 in Weilburg) in Weilburg on February 1, 1831, the daughter of the innkeeper, councilor and mayor Karl Christian Theodor Leitner.
